Parche Post-Lanzamiento Prototipo -> V1.01
Cardboard Corsairs: The Musical » Devlog
Attention Corsairs📢!
Monkey Flip is thrilled to announce the first post-launch patch for Cardboard Corsairs: The Musical. While there are no immediate plans for further development, recent feedback has inspired us to make a few enhancements. Our goal is to provide a polished and satisfying prototype experience. Let’s delve into the key changes:
Post-Launch Patch V1.01
🆕 New Features
- [Move Indicator]: To clarify the initial steps, we've added a move indicator to guide players on how to advance within the game.
⚙️ Balance Adjustments
- [Adjusted Beat]: The tempo has been reduced to 110 bpm (previously 120 bpm) to give players more time between notes, making sequences less challenging. Also, the former beat was somewhat misleading, as players were attempting to play notes on the third cymbal, which did not contribute to progression.
- [Simplified Sequences]: Sequences are now shorter and more intuitive, making them easier to memorize and reducing the difficulty for new players. This update offers a more gradual progression in complexity.
- [Removed Note]: With the new WASD layout, we have temporarily removed the G note, allowing players to focus on only four notes instead. We are exploring optimal layout configurations for future updates.
🛠️ Improvements
- [Enhanced Sequence Reset]: Now, if a note is played off-beat, the sequence resets automatically, allowing players to immediately focus on a new sequence without manual resets.
- [WASD Control Layout]: We’ve transitioned to the familiar WASD layout, which offers more comfort and ease of use compared to the previous ASDFG controls, enhancing the playability of all notes within reach.
- [Automatic Mouse Cursor Activation]: The game now automatically enables the mouse cursor, simplifying interactions and eliminating the need to press Q to activate it manually.
- [Shortened Violin Arc]:We’ve adjusted the length of the violin arc to better match the cursor movement. Previously, players were gliding the arc softly, which sometimes caused unintended notes or missed notes if the arc didn’t leave the violin’s collider. The shortened arc now prevents these issues, offering more precise note registration.
And that covers the main updates! We hope these adjustments enhance your gameplay experience, making it smoother and more enjoyable.
